Yoga for Improved Immune Response

It looks like yoga can be used to help boost immunity. Here is an article about a study that shows yoga has the potential to ward off certain diseases. These guys followed women who had practiced yoga regularly for at least two years and found them to have lower levels of inflammation. The study is said to show how yoga can “have some distinctive physical benefits in terms of the immune system.” It’s worth noting that they classify anyone who does yoga once or twice a week as an expert (awesome!) They do highlight that part of the reason behind the results might be because yoga involves meditation, “which helps people learn to pay attention to how they are feeling meaning yogis can be more aware of their stress and able to control their response." Sounds good to me. I can’t wait to be a yogi!
