How Cool is Matt?!

Admittedly, I’ve seen this guy before and chances are, you may have too considering that his YouTube videos have been watched nearly 50 million times. (Wow!) The first time I saw him though, he was dancing around the world alone.  Since then, his idea evolved and now he dances with just about everyone, everywhere - from kids in Yemen to astronauts at Nellis Airspace and a big whale in the sea.

There is so much yoga in this video that I don’t know how to begin to articulate it.  Some of the words that come to my mind while watching it are joy, love, community, dance, music, art, fun, tolerance, unity, peace, people, nature, and overwhelming hope and inspiration.  What a great way to bring people together and show how much we have in common. What a great way to show how big and how small our world is too.

I saw this video thanks to a yoga teacher in town who just posted the link and the above question on his facebook page.  (Thanks Charlie Samos – see Charlie's yoga blog here – for bringing this into my realm of awareness.)  I think Matt is super cool and it turns out that Matt is still dancing around the world.  His website is called "Where the Hell is Matt" and you can learn more about who he is, how he got to travel to all these places, and what he is up to now by following his blog.

It’s another one of those great things that leaves you (or at least me) thinking, why didn’t I think of that first?!
